Old Shetland boat

Shetland is a great mix of old and new and round every corner there is something interesting to see and photograph

I live in Sandwick and we have many little places such as Sandsayre, Sanick, Hoswick, Clumliewick and Stove that collectively make up the area

This boat has been here for a few years now and is just left to rot, such a pity but along with the abandoned cars there is really no where to send them to be scrapped.

Over the years Clumliewick Pier has been battered by numerous Hurricanes and strong gales and now its just given up and collapsed into the sea.

Remains of a few old houses and crofts survived, it seems everyone wants new houses. Lots of new ones have been built since we arrived just over 5 years ago.

Don't forget to have a look at my other blogs
