On Tuesday 6 May the Norwegian convoy headed in towards Lerwick passing Bressay lighthouse

above the s/s Hestmanden which is the only surviving ship from both world wars
It had been a rough crossing by all accounts but far calmer as they approached Shetland.
Four Shetland Bus boats joined the S/S Hestmanden, these were the
Andholmen,, Arnefjord. Ernka, Heland
