New additiions

We have two new additions to the family, Teddy the black cat and Tinker the tabby, both have settled well.

Both have been adopted from someone who is leaving Shetland soon. They are both house cats, something we were looking for, too many cats are killed up here on the roads

I love Shetland for the variety of buildings, a good mixture of new and old.  This hut was down at Gulberwick standing alone in a field

Its been a weekend of storms, with Force 10 winds hitting the islands. The Ferry set off 4 hours early on Friday and by teatime the winds had become very strong. We set off for a meal at 7pm and was hit by frequent hail storms and very strong winds.

Over the past few years we have had a number of friends and family visit us in Shetland and they have gone away wanting more. Shetland seems to get under your skin and a quick return is always on the cards

Filming has again taken place in Lerwick during the past few days for the BBC Shetland Drama and they had superb weather yet again, cannot wait for it to start.

I am delivering a photography course for Mind your Head, a mental health awarness charity next week in Lerwick and are looking forward to meeting everyone
